I grew up in a small town outside of Metro Atlanta. My love of art began at an early age with my first watercolor set. I spent hours creating images from my imagination. My love of art matured into an affinity for Fine Art and an interest in using technology as a medium. It was no surprise to anyone when I decided that I wanted a career in digital arts. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta, Georgia.
Shortly after college, I landed a position with Cox Automotive Manheim as a User Experience Designer. This position exposed me to content development, using A/B Testing, and Hand-coding. I relocated to Dallas, Texas and I'm currently employed by the Neiman Marcus Group (NM). As part of the NM graphics team, I have worked on the mobile app (iOS) creating and designing promotional banners, and improving the optimization for the app. I've also worked on the video editing team and maintained redesign of the Homepage for Horchow, Neiman Marcus' home decor luxury brand.
I have an immense passion for traveling, both within the United States and internationally. There’s something truly exhilarating about exploring new destinations, immersing myself in different cultures, and experiencing the unique traditions, foods, and music that each place has to offer. Every journey broadens my perspective and deepens my appreciation for the world’s diversity. One of my most recent adventures took me to London, where I was captivated by the city's stunning architecture, the warmth of its people, and the thoughtful ways typography is used throughout the city to help visitors and locals navigate with ease. This experience left me feeling inspired and even more eager to continue my travels. One of my biggest personal goals is to visit all 50 states in the U.S. and to explore at least one new country every year, enriching my life with new experiences and unforgettable memories.
Beyond traveling, I find great joy in sharing my love for art with my community. In my free time, I teach painting classes for both children and adults in the Dallas area. Helping others tap into their creativity and express themselves through art is incredibly fulfilling, and I love seeing my students grow in confidence as they develop their skills. When I’m not traveling or teaching, I make it a priority to stay active and engage in activities that bring me joy. Whether I’m listening to music, biking along scenic trails, kayaking on the water, swimming to stay refreshed, or enjoying a fun night of bowling, I always seek ways to stay energized and make the most of my time. Life is an adventure, and I embrace every opportunity to explore, create, and connect with the world around me.
