I grew up in a small town outside of Metro Atlanta. My love of art began at an early age with my first watercolor set. I spent hours creating images from my imagination. My love of art matured into an affinity for Fine Art and an interest in using technology as a medium. It was no surprise to anyone when I decided that I wanted a career in digital arts. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta, Georgia.
Shortly after college, I landed a position with Cox Automotive Manheim as a User Experience Designer. This position exposed me to content development, using A/B Testing, and Hand-coding. I relocated to Dallas, Texas and I'm currently employed by the Neiman Marcus Group (NM). As part of the NM graphics team, I have worked on the mobile app (iOS) creating and designing promotional banners, and improving the optimization for the app. I've also worked on the video editing team and maintained redesign of the Homepage for Horchow, Neiman Marcus' home decor luxury brand.
I love to travel throughout the US and abroad. I enjoy exploring new places and exposing myself to different cultures, foods, and music. I recently visited London and came home inspired by the architecture, the people, and how the city utilize typography to assist the Universal consumer in navigating London. My goal is to eventually visit all 50 states in the US and visit at least one new country every year.
Sharing my love of art with the community is fulfilling. In my spare time, I teach painting classes to kids and adults in the Dallas area. If traveling and teaching don’t keep me busy enough, I enjoy listening to music, biking, kayaking, swimming, and bowling.
